Living Things Annual International Arts Festival Returns to Kelowna

The Living Things International Arts Festival returns to Kelowna's cultural district in January.

From Jan. 20 to 31, audiences can enjoy live contemporary performances including theatre, puppetry, music, dance and interactive installations. 

Events will take place in the Kelowna Art Gallery, the Kelowna Community Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts and the Black Box Theatre with a total of eight shows, according to a media release.

“This year’s festival is a striking mixture of audio-visual and theatrical languages: illusions, transformations, live and immersive sound, and, of course, the captivating presence of highly skilled performing artists. I’m eager to see how audiences react to these carefully selected performances. Living Things is an opportunity for public joy,” festival founder and artistic director Neil Cadger said

The festival has been a yearly tradition since 2017 run by Inner Fish Performance, a non-profit society that brings live theatre, art and dance to Kelowna.

Living Things is supported financially by ticket sales, Canada Council for the Arts, the BC Live Performance Network, the Central Okanagan Foundation, the City of Kelowna along with local businesses and the BC Arts Council.

Admission prices range from 'pay what you can' to $50.
