Hemi’s Holistic Healing Centre Society is launching two new recovery programs for women.
The programs, which start Feb. 2 and are hosted at Trinity Church on Springfield Road, aim to help women overcome addiction or embrace a sober lifestyle in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
The society offers two options tailored to meet diverse needs. The Intensive Addiction Recovery Program is for women ready to break free from addiction. It provides trauma-informed support and practical tools for lasting recovery. It’s available Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-registration and screening required.
The Sober Curious Wellness Program is for women exploring an alcohol-free lifestyle. This evening program focuses on confidence, healthy habits, and living vibrantly without labels or stigma. It’s available Monday to Friday. Pre-registration and screening required.
Both programs allow participants to choose durations ranging from two weeks to 90 days. They are offered on a sliding scale with funding available to allow everyone to be able to participate.
Hemi’s welcomes participants from all backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and stay-at-home moms. Services include:
Individual and group counselling;
Support meetings (AA/NA/CODA);
Trauma therapy and movement sessions;
Relapse prevention and life skills training;
Guest speakers and workshops;
Daily lunch provided.
More information about programs are available on Hemi’s website.
